Azam Nizamuddin

Azam Nizamuddin is an attorney with Abear Law offices in Wheaton, Illinois where he practices family law, employment law, and personal injury. Before joining Abear Law Offices, Mr. Nizamuddin served as a litigation attorney with D’Ancona & Pflaum, and Regas, Frezados and Harp, advising companies and individuals in the areas of commercial litigation, real estate litigation, employment law, and family law.

He has also served as General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer of Allied Asset Advisors where he expanded his litigation experience into a transactional practice in the areas of litigation strategy, commercial real estate, RLUIPA, and not-for-profit law.

Mr. Nizamuddin is a member of the DuPage County Bar Association, the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association, and the Illinois State Bar Association. He has been active in many bar associations including serving as the former Chair of the Civil Law and Appellate Law Sections of the DCBA and the former Editor in Chief of the DCBA Journal, the Brief.

He has provided CLE credit presentations for the DuPage County Bar Association on Piercing the Corporate Veil, Preventing Sexual Harassment in the Workplace, RLUIPIA, and the Pitfalls of Employee Termination, and to the Circuit Court of Cook County on Cultural Issues in Custody Disputes. He also frequently lectures on Constitutional law issues pertaining to the Free Exercise and Establishment clauses.

He has served on the Illinois Supreme Court Commission on Professionalism since 2023.
